Michael Price
Michael Price is the design director for The San Diego Union-Tribune, where he has been part of its visuals leadership team since 2003. Before ing the Union-Tribune, he was the graphics editor for The Philadelphia Inquirer. Preceding his professional newspaper career, Price was a professor and student publications adviser at Ball State University, where he created its journalism-graphics major. He was named the Union-Tribune’s outstanding editor in 2007 and was inducted into the Ball State Hall of Fame as a teacher in 2017. He has completed fellowships at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies and National Geographic magazine.
