Re “SANDAG gives OK to $27M bike lane project. Contract approved for 2.8-mile stretch of University Avenue.” (May 27): SANDAG has proved once again that it is run by a consortium of incompetents. They cannot supervise a toll road, they are out of touch with the needs of daily commuters and now want to spend another $27 million on bike lanes imposing their glorious vision of saving the world.
Mayor Gloria and his crew of incompetents also deserve some special recognition. I visited Balboa Park during a non-peak time and was greeted with a traffic jam on Park Boulevard. Interestingly, I did not see one bus in the dedicated bus lane and not one bicycle in the dedicated bike lane.
But, on the bright side, the people of San Diego and California who voted the Democrats into office are getting what they voted for. Unfortunately, the rest of us are having to live with what we didn’t vote for!
