A 24-year-old driver died early Wednesday and two engers were injured after he crashed his pickup into the back end of an unoccupied forklift in Barrio Logan, San Diego police said.
The crash occurred around 2:05 a.m. when a 2023 Ford F-150 driving southbound ran through roadblocks at the intersection of Harbor Drive and Park Boulevard, police said.
Police said the driver collided with a parked forklift on Harbor Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released.
The two engers were taken to a hospital for minor injuries, police said.
What led up to the crash remained under investigation.
