San Diego police are investigating an apparent gunfight that took place in Linda Vista early Sunday morning.

Officers found many shell casings in front of a house on Tait Street west of Drescher Street after receiving multiple reports of gunshots being fired around 2:30 a.m., said police Officer Sarah Foster. Multiple cars had been hit, she said.

Police are checking local hospitals for anyone suffering from gunshot wounds, but so far haven’t found anyone, Foster said.
