New barbecue options: Customers can now order barbecue options and macaroni salad at Tender Greens. The three new items are a backyard ribs plate, which has St. Louis-style ribs served with macaroni salad and crispy potatoes for $19.35; the backyard ribs family meal, containing St. Louis-style ribs with chipotle honey barbecue sauce and two sides for $69.95; and a macaroni salad with ditalini pasta, celery, green olives, chives, pickles, parsley and mayonnaise for $4.45. These offerings first arrived on May 14 and are available all summer long. Luau and live entertainment: The Hyatt Regency Mission Bay & Marina is introducing its Rhythms of the Pacific Luau. This biweekly event mixes a luau and live entertainment. The Luau treats guests with a signature mai tai, a Hawaiian buffet featuring kalua pork, ahi poke, macaroni salad and a pineapple upside-down cake. Dinner will be followed by a Polynesian show with hula dancers, live music and fire dancers. Coffee cocktail class: Learn a little something about being a barista at Ox Coffee’s summer cocktail coffee class. Guests will learn three drinks: ube old fashioned, silky negroni and red hot toddy. Soccer watch party food and drinks: Cheer on Inter Milan or Paris Saint-Germain while enjoying Paris and Milan-inspired food and cocktails at Brewery X. During the 2025 UEFA Champions League soccer final, customers can choose from the $23 croque merguez monsieur with spiced lamb, swiss cheese and béchamel on a brioche roll, and the French 75, a $15 cocktail that blends gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and sparkling wine. The Italian-inspired items include the $24 piadina con polpette agrodolci, which is a house-made flatbread topped with mozzarella and sweet and sour meatballs, and the $15 negroni with gin, sweet vermouth and and an Italian liqueur. Cross-border culinary experience: The Beeside Balcony La Jolla is hosting a seven-course, cross-border dinner. Chef Christophe Cevasco of Beeside Balcony and chef Antonio Quindere of Valle Omakase have curated a one-night dinner that mixes Baja California, Mediterranean and Japanese flavors. Bourbon tasting: Angel’s Envy and Kona Kai San Diego are collaborating for a bourbon and chocolate tasting experience.
