CIF Boys SoCal Regional Championship

When: Thursday

Where: Los Serranos Golf Club (South Course) Chino Hills

At stake: The top three teams and nine individuals not on the qualifying teams advance to the State Championship on June 3 at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach on June 3.

Preview: Cathedral Catholic and Torrey Pines qualified for the SoCal Regional Championship, along with 12 individuals from other schools. Torrey Pines is the defending champion, but Cathedral is considered this year’s favorite. In last year’s SoCal Regional individual tournament, Cathedral’s Michael Riebe tied for third at 6 under. La Costa Canyon’s Reed Arnaldo and Torrey Pines’ Evan Liu tied for sixth at 5 under.
