Re “Just how bad are San Diego’s budget problems? City may dip into reserves for first time in years” (May 15): A simple way to generate more revenue for city is to bring back the cameras and issue citations to red-light runners.
I work in Kearny Mesa and see cars constantly running red lights. Install cameras at freeway on-ramps to cite people who drive in diamond lanes (alone) getting onto the freeway. Doing this could generate hundreds of thousands of dollars each year.
A simple solution, don’t you think?
