A motorcyclist was killed early Sunday morning after colliding with a vehicle in Lakeside, a fire official said.
The crash happened around 1 a.m. on state Route 67 and Willow Road, Lakeside Fire District Battalion Chief Eric Stamm said.
The two northbound lanes of SR-67 were blocked until around 3:50 a.m., Caltrans said in a post on X.
Stamm did not know the make and model of the vehicle involved in the crash. He said the California Highway Patrol was investigating the incident.
A CHP spokesperson could not be immediately reached for comment.
It was not known what led up to the crash or if any other drivers were hurt. No information about the person who died was immediately available.
