A cold front out of the northeast will bring unseasonably cool air and possibly drizzle during the later innings of the Padres’ home game against Seattle on Saturday night.
The National Weather Service says the temperature will be about 60, and falling, when play begins at 5:40 p.m. at Petco Park.
The moist air will start spreading across San Diego County a short time later and will linger well into Sunday morning.
The weather will turn warmer early next week. San Diego’s daytime high is expected to reach 70 on Monday and 77 on Tuesday. Inland areas could reach as high as the upper 80s, with some spots reaching the 90s.
