Re “Settlement close in wrongful death suit of Ocean Beach woman shot in U.S. Capitol breach” (May 2): We all got to see Ashli Babbitt commit suicide. She was warned she would be shot if she didn’t stop. So she was shot by her own choice. The government should not settle. The plaintiffs should be paying court costs — not getting a single penny of taxpayer money.
