The San Diego Wave and National Women’s Soccer League Player of the Week Delphine Cascarino travel to Chicago on Saturday, where they’ll face the Chicago Stars in a 4:30 p.m. match. The game will air on ION.

Cascarino earned the honors after scorin ga pair of goals in last week’s 4-1 win over Racing Louisville in Kentucky. The French import also added an assist, setting up Melanie Barcenas for a goal in the Wave’s first road win of the season. Cascarino leads the Wave with five goals over four weeks.

“I try to give the best on the field and during the training, I try to do well,” she said. “I work hard for that, and thanks to my teammates. They help me be the best of me. “

The Wave (2-2-1) and Stars (1-3-1) have split their six all-time meetings. The midwestern club changed its name from Red Stars to Stars last offseason.
