‘Local Author Showcase’ event at Encinitas Library

A “Local Author Showcase” will be held at the Encinitas Library on Sunday, March 23, from 1:30 p.m.-4 p.m.Ten local authors meet and greet, sell and sign books. Each author gets a 15 minute slot to speak starting at 1:30 p.m. A variety of activities are also held at the event, including a scavenger hunt. City to hold youth piano competition

The city of Encinitas will hold the 2025 Youth Piano Concerto Competition with the North Coast Symphony Orchestra. Young pianists in grades K-12 can compete for the first-place prize of a $250 contract to perform one movement of a concerto in a concert with the North Coast Symphony Orchestra on June 14. Veterans to climb Mount Everest
