Here is some of the latest in dining news from across San Diego County, as well as some events for foodies.

Spiny lobster dinner: Vistal Bar + Restaurant is hosting a four-course spiny lobster dinner and demonstration for one night only. The dinner, in partnership with Chula Seafood, will showcase the versatility of spiny lobster. The menu contains lobster terrine, lobster ricotta, zarandeado half lobster and a blood orange panna cotta, paired with meringue and mezcal honey. 5 p.m. Friday. 901 Bayfront Court, San Diego. $95. 619-535-0485, vistalsd.com

New menu selections: Borrego Rooftop Kitchen is releasing seven new menu items, created by executive chef Nick Paulerio. 13th birthday deals: Lucky’s Lunch Counter is celebrating its 13th anniversary with 13 days of specials. From March 1-13, customers can enjoy 13 different meals for 50% off of the normal menu price. Dinner special: Sandpiper Wood Fired Grill & Oysters is launching a dinner special every Sunday. The deal is a dinner for two that includes one family-style salad, one large entrée and one dessert for $80. The food selection of the three-course dinner will rotate each week. March 2 will feature an arugula salad, braised short ribs and a chocolate salted caramel tart. Rooftop beverage program: The Rooftop Bar at Mission Pacific is introducing a new beverage program. The Postcard Series features rotating cocktails celebrating notable dates throughout the year. One example is the Earth Day cocktail named Mother Earth, which is mixed with Midori and micro greens. St. Patrick’s lemonade: Raising Cane’s is bringing back its St. Patrick’s Day-themed lemonade and limited-edition plush toy. Its Leprechaun Lemonade is available Wednesday through March 17 and locals can get a 22-ounce size for free with a customer Caniac Club . Starting March 19, guests can purchase a limited-edition Golden Plush Puppy for $9.99, with all proceeds benefiting local animal organizations, according to Raising Cane’s.
