After agreeing to with free agent Nick Pivetta to a four-year, $55 million contract on Wednesday night, the Padres on Thursday announced they have signed left-hander Kyle Hart to a one-year deal with a club option for 2026. of the contract were not known.

Hart, 32, posted a 2.92 ERA and struck out 182 batters in 157 innings for the NC Dinos of the Korean Baseball Organization last season. He pitched for the Red Sox in 2020, allowing 21 runs (19 earned) over 11 innings (four games, three starts).
