High Valley Veterinary Clinic floods but remains open

During the recent power outages in Ramona, the High Valley Veterinary Clinic was flooded, requiring the entire hospital to be remodeled, according to owner and veterinarian Matthew Gilbert.

“We understand that this has been a terrible inconvenience to our clientele. We plan on staying open during this very trying time to accommodate our community,” Gilbert said.

He said the clinic, at 1029 D. St., will continue to provide limited services, such as physical exams and lab work only, from a trailer in the back parking lot.

For X-rays and other services, the clinic is recommending their sister hospital in Lakeside, Woodside Animal Hospital at 12149 High Valley Woodside Ave.

The remodel is expected to take four to six weeks.
