Our mission statement

The mission of Father Joe’s Villages is to prevent and end homelessness, one life at a time.

Our 2025 goals

Our 2025 goals include:

  • Combating substance use and the overdose crisis in San Diego
  • Preventing families from falling into homelessness
  • Providing wrap-around services to seniors experiencing homelessness
  • Building affordable housing to help people pull out of homelessness
  • Changing the public’s perceptions of the issues and solutions surrounding homelessness

The areas we serve

San Diego County.

Fundraising events

Our signature events are the Thanksgiving Day 5K, which benefits our food services programs; the Children Charity Gala, which benefits Therapeutic Childcare; and the Golf Classic, which benefits homeless veterans.

Calling all volunteers

Volunteers can utilize their talents in various programs, including preparing and serving meals, assisting in Therapeutic Childcare, being a Residential Aide and much more. If you have a skill or talent you would like to share, please reach out. We welcome all types of volunteers and groups: individuals, families, religious organizations, community groups, military groups, corporations, local businesses and more.

Donation opportunities

There are many ways to give. Whether you make a gift of your time, money, or goods, your will go directly towards programs that save lives. Your cash donation funds programs that make a critical, immediate impact. Donate household goods and vehicles, shop in our online or retail thrift stores, or participate in planned giving.
