Our mission statement

The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank provides nutritious food to people in need, advocates for the hungry, and educates the public about hunger-related issues.

Our 2025 goals

In 2025, our goal is to distribute over 50 million pounds of food and supplies, with 50% being fresh produce, to our neighbors in need in San Diego County.

The areas we serve

The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank serves all of San Diego County.

Fundraising events

our mission by attending the following fundraising events in the coming year:

  • 13th Annual San Diego Food Bank Gala: us May 3, 2025 for live musical entertainment, fabulous silent and live auctions, specialty hors d’oeuvres prepared by renowned local chefs and a delicious dinner.
  • 9th Annual Drive Out Hunger Golf Classic: us on Aug. 18, 2025 for our annual Drive Out Hunger Golf Classic, including lunch, winning-team prizes, choice swag, a cocktail reception with live auction and a post-tournament dinner.

Calling all volunteers

We welcome all volunteers — whether large or small groups, schools, faith-based organizations, or corporate teams seeking team-building experiences that make a big impact on our mission. The donation of your time maximizes our mission, allowing us to serve more than 400,000 San Diegans each month. To get started, visit sandiegofoodbank.org/volunteer.

Donation opportunities

There are many ways to us in the fight against hunger. Organize a food drive to collect nonperishable food items, host a virtual food drive, or simply make adonation. No gift is too small. For every dollar donated, the Food Bank can provide enough food for two meals to San Diegans in need. Make a gift today at sandiegofoodbank.org/donate.
