IF/SCGA SoCal Regional Girls Golf Championship

When: 8 a.m. Thursday

Where: Los Serranos Golf Club (North) in Chino Hills

Format: Torrey Pines and Rancho Bernardo qualified for the team competition. Six golfers from each of those teams will be eligible for the individual title. In addition, the top 12 individual golfers from the CIF San Diego Section championships not on the Torrey Pines or RB rosters will compete.

At stake: The top three teams and top nine individuals not already on a qualifying team advance to the State Championship on Nov. 20 at San Gabriel Country Club.

Defending individual champion: Sophomore Donina Zhou (Santa Margarita)

Defending team champion: Santa Margarita. Torrey Pines finished third a year ago, with Rancho Bernardo sixth.
