A man in a wheelchair suffered fatal injuries Sunday night when he was hit by a car on a Kearny Mesa street, police said.
The crash happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Ronson Road near Convoy Street, police said.
A 58-year-old driver was heading east on Ronson in a Toyota Camry when he struck the man, who was trying to cross from south to north using a wheelchair. The injured man was taken by paramedics to a hospital, where he died.
No information about the victim, including his age or name, was immediately available.
Police said alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the collision. Traffic officers are investigating.
