HomeWyrks Technology Services is a La Jolla-based company that provides information technology consulting and troubleshooting for businesses and home office workers.
The La Jolla Light asked the following questions of founder and owner Marc Russo to find out more.
Q. How and when did the business begin?
A. I started HomeWyrks Technology Services Inc. in 2005. Later, I expanded into ing local business and opened my OfficeWyrks division.
Understanding technology always came easy to me. It’s just the way my brain operates. Word got around and everyone around me was wanting me to solve their technology issues. It was natural to make a business out of it. I love helping people.
Q. What is your mission?
A. HomeWyrks’ mission is to establish long-term relationships with clients, from original installation of technology needs to servicing and upgrading. Our mission is to know your system so well that problems are resolved quickly.
Switching out IT technicians can be costly to customers. Our goal is to make our clients so happy, we’re the only person they ever need to call. So it’s a win-win relationship.
Q. What services do you offer?
A. HomeWyrks offers personalized and professional services. Our area of expertise is primarily but is not limited to ing businesses and home office s with all their technology needs … computers, servers, networks, cloud presence and much more.
Q. What makes HomeWyrks unique compared with similar businesses?
A.
• Our ability to answer the phone at any hour for urgent matters.
• Our quick response and resolution of issues.
• Our long-standing client relationships … based on trust and mutual respect. I’d like to say we become friends.
• Our team’s combined 35 years of technological experience.
• And we’re local, of course!
Q. What’s new with the business that you want everyone to know about?
A. HomeWyrks prides itself with staying current with the fast-paced industry of computers, IT and technology.
Staying up to date is the most crucial part of our business. For example, we currently focus on helping our customers become compliant with California’s new Workplace Violence Prevention Plan that went into effect July 1. Aspects we help with are interoffice emergency communications — an unfortunate but necessary development for today’s world.
Q. What is your clientele in La Jolla and what are the benefits for you of doing business in La Jolla?
A. I live and work here. I like investing my time and energy into helping my community. I’m proud to say some of my clientele are Marengo Morton, SixteenFifty, Interwest Capital, Investment Placement Group and The Lot.
HomeWyrks is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and always on call for urgent matters. For more information, call 858-456-7911, email [email protected] or visit homewyrks.com.
