A 12-year-old girl suffered a fractured right femur while riding in an SUV that rear-ended a parked truck in the Roseville/Fleet Ridge community of Point Loma, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 9:15 p.m. Sept. 7 on the eastbound side of the 3400 block of Canon Street, where a 2017 Ford Expedition driven by a 37-year-old woman moved to the right and struck the rear of an Econoline box truck that was legally parked along the south side of Canon, the San Diego Police Department reported.
The woman and three other engers complained of pain, and everyone in the SUV was taken to a hospital, police said.
Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs was not a factor in the crash, police said.
