The fourth annual Rancho Santa Fe Open will return to the Rancho Santa Fe Tennis Club courts on Sept. 30 through Oct. 6.

The RSF Open, a USTA Pro Circuit and ITF World Tour event, is a women’s singles and doubles professional tournament with $60,000 in prize money up for grabs. According to a press release, the tournament expects to draw WTA players ranked No. 75 to 300, including young pros, collegiate players and top local juniors competing to earn valuable points as “they continue their climb up the world rankings ladder.”  As an example of the rising talent on display, last year’s RSF Open finalist Lulu Sun, who lost to eventual winner Yuliia Starodubtseva, made it to the Wimbledon quarterfinals this summer.

According to the press release, this year’s Rancho Santa Fe Open promises to be the biggest and best yet. The public is invited to watch championship weekend matches on Oct. 5-6 free of charge from the bleachers on Court 2 at the club.

For the first time ever, on championship weekend the clubhouse will be transformed into a VIP Lounge experience. In the VIP Lounge, all sponsors and VIP ticket holders will enjoy tennis action from a indoor and outdoor viewing area, complemented by food from local chefs and an open bar featuring local wines, beers and cocktails. VIP experience tickets are $250.

The 2024 RSF Open festivities will begin with a Kick Off Cocktail Party on Friday, Sept. 27 at 5:30 p.m. at RSF Tennis Club. The event will include an opening ceremony, a pro doubles exhibition, sponsor recognition, food, drinks and local art. Tickets are $50 per person.

The tennis club is still looking for community sponsors for the RSF Open at a variety of levels. The deadline for sponsorships is Sept. 13, learn more at rsfopen.com
