
Sponsorships are open for Ramona’s 16th BowWow PowWow, an event for families, pet owners, and their pups.
Presented by Kiwanis Club of Ramona, the community event will be held at the Ramona Community Center Fairgrounds at 435 Aqua Lane on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration begins at 10 a.m.
Four sponsorship packages are offered:
Presenting Sponsor, $2000, only one is available — includes name on all printed materials, a 20-by-20-foot booth, Best in Show category sponsor, opportunity to address the audience, company banner, website link, and lunch;
Booth Sponsors, $300 — includes a 10-by-10 company information booth at the event, Category sponsor, company banner, website link, and lunch;
Category Sponsors, $200 — includes the company mentioned when your category is being judged, company banner, and website link; and
Company Sponsors, $100 — company banner displayed.
Categories include Best Costume (Adult and Child’s Dog), Dog/Owner Look-alike, Best Kisser, Most Beautiful (Female and Male), Most Talented, Best Tail Wagger, Most Unusual Markings, and Best in Show.
Contributions help Ramona Kiwanis’ scholarship programs, Ramona High’s NJROTC program, Ramona school supply drives, Project Lifesaver, military family holiday gifts, Ramona Senior Center, Guy B. Woodward Museum, Ramona Skatepark Champions, the St. Mary Episcopal Church’s annual Shoes, Socks, and Underwear Drive, Ramona High football spirit packs, and Montecito High’s construction program, among other youth and community causes.

The club’s first BowWow PowWow was held in 2004. After a brief hiatus and then the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual event returned in 2023.
