Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a 39-year-old man in Lemon Grove last year, authorities said.
Daniel Ethridge, 34, was identified as a suspect in the death of Gregory Moore, who was shot in the torso and legs on Lemon Grove Avenue near Montana Street in March 2023, sheriff’s Lt. Michael Krugh said in a news release Tuesday.

Moore drove his car a short distance away from the scene to San Miguel Avenue, where he was later found unconscious in the driver’s seat. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
During an investigation, deputies learned that Moore knew the men who killed him and that the shooting stemmed from an earlier dispute, investigators said.
Ethridge is one of four people charged in Moore’s death. He is wanted on a murder arrest warrant and is believed to be associated with a gang, authorities said. He also has prior convictions for assault with a deadly weapon and shooting into an inhabited dwelling.
Detectives described Ethridge as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes.
Authorities said Ethridge should be considered armed and dangerous.
The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $5,000 reward and Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to his arrest.
Investigators asked anyone with information about the case to call the sheriff’s homicide unit at (858) 285-6330 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477.
