Re “Why this battery storage plant between Escondido and San Marcos has some residents upset” (March 29): The elephant in the room with the Seguro battery storage facility proposed for Eden Valley is not only the danger of fire for the residents of this rural residential community, but the loss of property values and the increase in fire insurance. How can San Diego County approve of such a project adjacent to the proposed Eden Hills project that would add hundreds of homes to our community? We, the residents of Eden Valley, will have to pay for this blunder in planning.
