Pro–Palestinian demonstrators are in the right
In response to Amir Sahimi’s letter, “War protesters are on the wrong side,” Our Readers Write, March 21, La Jolla Light):
Like the activists who protested against the Vietnam War, the thousands of UC San Diego pro–Palestinian demonstrators demanding an immediate cease-fire in Gaza and an end to the collective punishment and genocide of the region’s inhabitants are on the right side of history.
Israel’s military has already killed over 32,000 Gazans.
The 84-page document that South Africa submitted to the International Court of Justice in December accuses Israel of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. It describes why the charges fit the Geneva Convention’s definition of genocide.

Widening Scripps Park sidewalk is a loser

Widening the path will look horrible!! We will lose the village feel!
