Re “Justice Department sues Apple, alleging it illegally monopolized the smartphone market” (March 21): I am disgusted by the recently announced U.S. Department of Justice’s antitrust case against Apple. It is obscene to say that Apple, by selling me the iPhone which I voluntarily choose to buy, is exploiting me, is victimizing me, is making profits at my expense. I am not a victim of Apple. I’m a beneficiary of all the products and innovations Apple has created, and it is a gross perversion of justice for government to be going after the company for its success.

I cannot any political candidate who approves of the DOJ’s attack on Apple. I cannot anyone who doesn’t think of Apple as an American success story to be celebrated. Instead of attacking this inspiring company, let us take time to think about how the non-objective nature of antitrust laws give government bureaucrats arbitrary power over any company that dares to stand out or think differently.
