Re “Abandoned Epicentre in Mira Mesa plagued by frequent vandalism” (March 15): I am glad to read that Councilmember Kent Lee is pushing the city to maintain the long-abandoned Epicentre now that the health and safety problems have gotten worse. Many residents have been voicing concerns for months by submitting Get It Done requests and calling his office. We urge Councilmember Lee to take action immediately to ensure the safety of our community going forward.

Transferring jurisdiction to San Diego Parks and Recreation seems like the most practical solution since it is responsible for the Mira Mesa Community Park, making maintenance easier and more cost-effective for both the county and, more importantly, the residents.
