Alexandria Perez, a junior on La Costa Canyon High School’s wrestling team, won her third CIF San Diego Section Masters Championship on Feb. 17.
Alexandria then competed in the California state championships in Bakersfield Feb. 22-24 at the Mechanics Bank Arena.
Alexandria was a state finalist, finishing in second place. She went 4-1 with a record 38-2 for the season. Alexandria was a returning two-time state placer going into the competition.
