‘Twas the end of 2023, and all through R Town, not a property was stirring, not even a golf course condo. All listings were posted on the MLS with care, in hopes that new buyers soon would be there.
The Realtors were nestled all snug in their beds, with visions of sparkling homes and happy clients in their heads. They had just settled in for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the lawn, there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the couch to see what was the matter. Away to the window, I flew like a flash, tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon shimmered on the swaying palms, giving the luster of midday to properties drawn. When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer.
With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment, it must be St. Nick. And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof, the prancing and pawing of each little hoof. As I drew in my head and was turning around, down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed in a suit, from his head to his toe, and his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and snow. I heard him say, “the Ramona Realtors do well taking care of their town.”
The Christmas Scholarship Party raised lots of money for Ramona kids; all the Senior’s Christmas Wish Lists have been filled with the presents wrapped and ready to go.
He stuffed the empty sack on his back with the gifts to deliver with care this night.
And laying his finger aside of his nose, and giving a nod, up the chimney, he rose. He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, he shouted and called the reindeer by name.
“Now Dasher! Now Dancer! Now Prancer and Vixen! On Comet! On Cupid! On Donner and Blitzen! Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!” And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
And I heard him exclaim, as he flew out of sight, “Happy Holidays to all, and to all a good night. May your homes be cozy, your hearths be warm, and your real estate dreams weather any storm.”
