Fall weather — not just yet. In fact, Thursday is going to be downright hot.

The National Weather Service forecasts high temperatures to hit 5 to 15 degrees above seasonal averages.

Wednesday was warm with the high in Borrego Springs at 91; Escondido and Ramona reaching 93; El Cajon, 91; Julian, 82; San Diego International Airport, 78; and San Ysidro and Oceanside, 77.

Thursday heats up even more, the weather service predicts: Borrego Springs, 101; Escondido and Ramona, 97; El Cajon, 96; Julian, 86; San Ysidro, 84; and the airport and Oceanside, 83.

The heat should start moving east Friday, the weather service said, with “noticeable cooling” Saturday. The cooling is forecast to continue Sunday and into early next week.
