Knowledge is power and the greatest asset you can acquire in order to compete for a fantasy football championship.
Here’s your 2023 preview of the Baltimore Ravens, the 25th of 32 team profiles during draft season:
2023 Fantasy MVP: Lamar Jackson, QB
An influx of talent at wide receiver and the addition of Todd Monken as offensive coordinator is setting Jackson (ADP: 32) up for a career year as a er. Knee and ankle sprains have cost him 10 games over the past two seasons, so you’re likely to get him at a discounted price considering his upside. Despite the injuries, his per-game production remained elite. Jackson’s Per 17 Games averages since 2021: 3,630 ing yards, 23 ing touchdowns, 1,084 rushing yards and four rushing TDs.
2023 Fantasy Sleeper: Rashod Bateman, WR
Monken’s more -heavy approach will only benefit Bateman (ADP: 143), whose bad injury luck curtailed a potential breakout campaign in 2022 — his Per 17 Games averages before he suffered a foot injury were 969 yards on 51 receptions and seven TDs. I believe Bateman is Baltimore’s best all-around wideout if he’s healthy.
2023 Fantasy Bust: J.K. Dobbins, RB
Durability remains my main concern with Dobbins (ADP: 48). He missed all of 2021 with an ACL tear and only played in eight games last year. Despite the obvious talent, I just don’t see the upside in the situation. In 23 career games, Dobbins has sured 15 carries only once and been targeted out of the backfield a measly 32 times.
2023 Fantasy Rookie to watch: Zay Flowers, WR
Flowers (ADP: 100) won’t be for everyone with his smallish frame, but he checks my boxes for a No. 1 receiver in the NFL. He’s a good route-runner with excellent hands who is extremely dangerous in the open field thanks to elite speed, agility and vision — they don’t call him “Joystick” for nothing.
