UPDATED:

Knowledge is power and the greatest asset you can acquire in order to compete for a fantasy football championship.

Here’s your 2023 preview of the Tennessee Titans, the 20th of 32 team profiles during draft season:

2023 Fantasy MVP: Derrick Henry, RB

I’m simply tired of predicting Henry’s (ADP: 17) decline. He’s handled a ridiculous 1,249 carries the last four seasons — with an insane Per 17 Games average of 389 because he only played in eight games in 2021. Despite the massive workload, only Austin Ekeler, Christian McCaffrey and Josh Jacobs outscored Henry on a per-game basis in PPR last season — he lead the way in standard formats. All of this despite a declining offensive line and the quarterback position being in a state of flux. Maybe the mileage starts to wear him down or maybe he’s a cyborg sent from the future to prop up the contract values of bellcow running backs. Either is possible at this point.

2023 Fantasy Sleeper: Chigoziem Okonkwo, TE

If you execute my Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews or wait strategy with tight ends this season and choose way, Okonkwo (ADP: 137) should be one of your primary targets. He was the overall TE9 in standard formats (TE7 in PPR) the final seven games of his rookie season in 2022, while leading all tight ends in yards per reception (14.1) and yards per route run (3.26).

2023 Fantasy Bust: Treylon Burks, WR

Burks (ADP: 115) suffered an LCL injury during training camp and received no timetable for a return, but he has returned to practice, leaving the possibility he could return by Week 1. Beyond the injury, it’s the g of DeAndre Hopkins that prevents me from advocating for the talented Burks. Hopkins has historically been a target hog when healthy and there were already less targets available in this run-oriented offense. I’d rather seek more upside at receiver in the middle rounds.

2023 Fantasy Rookie to watch: Tyjae Spears, RB

Spears (ADP: 168) bounced back from a torn ACL in 2020 to score 21 TDs last season for Tulane, including four against USC in the Cotton Bowl, where he was clearly the most dominant player in a game that featured Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams. Spears is capable of making defenders miss or creating yards after and has seen his draft stock rise significantly after an impressive preseason. He’s a must-have handcuff if you draft Henry.
