Devising the perfect Daily Fantasy Sports strategy for the NFL can be a challenge, which is why I’m here to assist.
On DraftKings, it’s important to you’re playing full-point PPR with bonuses if a player sures 300 ing yards, 100 rushing yards or 100 receiving yards.
Here is my optimal lineup for Sunday’s $3.75 million Fantasy Football Millionaire contest, but can be utilized as a foundation in other games and platforms.
All prices listed are courtesy of DraftKings with a $50,000 budget.
These lineups have netted $160, so I’m in the black $60 through six weeks.
QB: Dak Prescott, Cowboys ($6,700)
It would make sense for Prescott to be a little rusty after missing five starts due to his thumb injury, but the matchup couldn’t possibly be better. The Lions have allowed the NFL’s fourth-most yards per attempt (7.7) and are dead last in sacks (7). Detroit is also allowing an embarrassing 34 points per game, the most in the NFL.
RB: Kenneth Walker, Seahawks ($5,800)
According to Pro Football Focus, Walker has forced a missed tackle on half of his carries this season. He’s way too cheap on DraftKings this week based on a matchup against one of the league’s worst run defenses and potentially robust usage (Walker had 23 touches in his first career start last week).
RB: Tony Pollard, Cowboys ($5,700)
Both Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott should be started in fantasy this week. The Lions defense has allowed a NFL-worst eight rushing TDs to running backs. I’m using Pollard here because of his playmaking ability and potential usage in the game (DraftKings is a full-PPR format).
WR: Davante Adams, Raiders ($8,700)
The Texans have allowed four perimeter wide receivers — Michael Pittman Jr., Mike Williams, Marvin Jones Jr. and Courtland Sutton — to produce at least seven receptions and 104 yards. Houston also allowed Pittman to score.
WR: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions ($7,100)
The Sun God practiced fully this week and has a clear path to double-digit targets with DJ Chark out and Josh Reynolds possibly limited or out as well.
WR: CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys ($6,800)
Lamb leads the NFL in target share (32.4 percent) and faces a Detroit defense that ranks 32nd in DVOA.
TE: Greg Dulcich, Broncos ($2,500)
Dulcich made his NFL debut last Monday night against the Chargers and ran the third-most routes for Denver, turning three targets into two receptions for 44 yards and a TD. The rookie has the minimum salary at both DraftKings and Fan Duel, making him the ideal punt candidate at the position, regardless who plays quarterback on Sunday.
FLEX: Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Chiefs ($4,500)
MVS has nine receptions for 222 yards (24.7 yards per catch) and three TDs in four career regular season games against the 49ers.
DST: Seattle Seahawks ($2,200)
I settled on the Seahawks unit for two major reasons. First, I like to stack my defense with a running back from the same team (See: Kenneth Walker). Second, Seattle is the cheapest defense on the Main Slate and has scored at least seven points on DraftKings five of six weeks this season.
