All good things must come to an end eventually.

The San Diego Gulls (8-7-1-0) saw their five-game AHL winning streak come to a halt at the hands of Pacific Division-leading Stockton (12-2-2-0) 4-1 on the road on Friday night.

Danny O’Regan scored the only goal of the game for the Gulls on a power play at 3:12 of the third period.

Martin Pospisil gave Stockton the lead at 12:52 of the first period.

The Heat made it 3-0 in the second period on goals by Connor Zary at 2:16 and Connor Mackey at 18:40. Mackey’s score came with Stockton killing off a Gulls power play.

O’Regan’s goal cut it to 3-1 but Mackey scored his second goal of the game at 14:02 of the third period on a power play to ice the game.

The Gulls were 1-of-9 on the power play and Stockton was 1-of-6.
