EL CAJON — More than 500 people attended the East County Economic Development Council’s Manufacturing Expo and Resource Fair last week at Prescott Promenade in El Cajon. The sixth annual event drew 50 exhibitors and resource providers, including Taylor Guitars and Cuyamaca College.

“We had job seekers dropping off resumes, employers having on-the-spot career conversations with people, some workshops like resume coaching, a virtual welding booth and our education partners looking to train the next generation of manufacturing workers,” said James Sly, president and CEO of the East County Economic Development Council.

The East County EDC has worked since 1984 to bridge the gap between community, businesses and government.
